Aaliyah Dana Haughton came into fame in 1994 after she dropped her debut album Age Ain't Nothing More Than an Number. It was Gold at the age of just 15 years old. The group was strongly in the style of R. Kelly, and helped put her in the spotlight. In the year 1996 Jermaine and Timbaland released Aaliyah's second album One In A Million. It contained If Your Girls Only Knew, the top-selling single. Aaliyah gained international fame for her R&B singing with the album. In 2000, she starred alongside the legendary martial artist Jet Li as Jet Li in Romeo Must Die. She got this role when she was spotted by producer Joel Silver at an awards show. She was in 2002 when she was in the Anne Rice-based thriller Queen of the Damned. The Matrix Sequels was her first role in The Matrix Sequels.
